Took eight flights in six days and have never been happier to back home up north. I read with A.F. Moritz at the Vallum launch as part of the Blue Met Festival in Montreal, ran 25km in 2:08 to win 5th place in Montreal’s Red Bull Wings for Life World Run, absorbed a Brick Books poetry reading with Kitty, allowed Dionne Brand to again realign the purpose of my writing with a smile, strolled the Old Montreal cobblestones with Raf Finn, visited the Sudbury Keg Restaurant three times in three days with my GLA crew, listened to Waubgeshig Rice’s life story, cried with Danielle Daniel in a cafe.
